How to Become a Christian
checkmark_red-2.gif Admit that you are a sinner who deserves the judgment of a holy and just God. (Rom 3:23)
checkmark_red-2.gif Believe that God loves you so much He sent His son Jesus to rescue you from your sins. (Joh 3:16)
checkmark_red-2.gif Believe that when Jesus died on the cross He paid the penalty of your sins and made your forgiveness possible. (Rom 6:23)
checkmark_red-2.gif Turn from your sins and turn toward God. (Act 3:19; Act 26:18)
checkmark_red-2.gif Trust in Jesus alone for the forgiveness of your sins and for the eternal life He provides. (Eph 2:8-9)
checkmark_red-2.gif Commit to follow Jesus as the master of your life. (Heb 12:1-2; Rom 12:1-2)
checkmark_red-2.gif Express these beliefs and commitments sincerely to God in prayer as best you can, and God will keep His promise. He said, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved." (Rom 10:13)
checkmark_red-2.gif After you have prayed this prayer, tell a mature Christian about it and ask for some help on how to grow as a Christian. (2 Pet 1:5-8)

checkmark_red-2.gif Don't be surprised or disappointed if your family and friends criticize you for becoming a Christian. Be patient and pray for them. (Psa 119:143; Psa 143:11; Mat 6:34; Joh 16:33; 2 Pet 1:3-8)
checkmark_red-2.gif Jesus promised that He will never leave you or forsake you. The Holy Spirit will help you endure interpersonal conflicts and grow in grace, knowledge, wisdom and strength. (Psa 138:7; Pro 11:8; Joh 15:1; 1Co 13:13)
checkmark_red-2.gif If you have questions about becoming a Christian that are not answered above, seek answers from a mature Christian who will be able to help. (Pro 27:17)
